What about the government shutdown is there to know about?

Congress' inability to make decisions and grow up resulted in budgeting problems throughout the year. They kept postponing the budget and putting off any decisions about where money should go during the year and so they could not meet. They wanted to give more of the money to themselves (who would have thunk) and they refused to allocate funding properly. The 540 people who run our nation can't have a vote and agree upon anything...classy?
