What is the name of this video game?

I used to have a game for the PS2 and it was about this boy who made a blood pact with a female dragon and she gave up fertility and he gave up speech. It goes on and on with this and something about a princess and it's very beautifully done. There was also a sequel. I want the name so I can buy it again. Also, a main point of the game is the boy fighting hoards of enemies by himself practically and being able to ride the dragon and like annihilate the battlefield.
