HOW TO CHANGE STARTUP/SHUTDOWN SCREEN FOR ACER LAPTOP?

i just got a new acer laptop. i can figure out how to change anything else, except when i first turn it on and when i shut it down, there is a dumb ugly green screen that says "acer" that i cant seem to find how to change it! please help? (its windows 7)
