Puppy Linux wont boot after losing power.?

i have it installed on an older Netbook. Well the battery went dead wile i was still working. after i plugged it in and turned it back on it wont boot. i get this text prompt that says puppy was not shutdown properly. ok sure i would assume that's normal. but i can't figure out how to get beyond this prompt and back into the desktop. What do i Do to get it back up and running?
