Sims 3 Custom content causes game crash. Help!?!?

So I've installed a bunch of player created custom content (not from EA) and everything seemed to work fine. I placed these windows on my house and everything kept going fine. The game had no problems with the windows when I first used them. So I saved and shutdown my computer and came back a few hours later. I continued work on my house, but when I got the camera in view of the windows, the game crashed. I know its the windows because when I saw them they looked very messed up. I was able to get back on and work on other areas of the house, but whenever I get in view of the windows the game crashes. I don't have time to delete them or anything, and I really can't just delete the lot or anything because I've already put so much time into this. If I delete the content out of the downloads folder will this get rid of the windows? Or will it mess up the game even more? What can I do to fix this?
